The Clinical Committee is a collegial body that carries out work on the prompt resolution of clinical issues and coordination of the activities of clinical departments of the university with practical health authorities, basic medical institutions.
The Clinical Committee carries out its activities on a voluntary basis in accordance with annual plans covering therapeutic, preventive and organizational work. Meetings attended by members of the Clinical Committee are held at least once a quarter to discuss issues of the Committee’s activities and make appropriate decisions. Heads of medical institutions and chief specialists (by industry) may be invited to the meeting.
The main areas of work of the Clinical Committee are:
- solving clinical issues and coordinating the activities of the clinical departments of SMU, NCJSC with the practical health authorities;
- analysis of the current state and prospects for the development of medical activities of clinical departments and basic medical and preventive institutions;
- obtaining scientific results that improve the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of diseases;
- analysis of the state of public health and healthcare;
- introduction of instructional and methodological materials;
- development of prognosis and regulatory legal acts of medical care.
