Every year, 1 December is World AIDS Day. People around the world are coming together to show support for people living with HIV and to remember those who have died from AIDS-related diseases.
This year, as part of this date, KazMSA activists, under the leadership of the Standing Committee on reproductive, sexual health and rights, including HIV and AIDS SCORA, became blood donors. Our goal was to prevent HIV infection and other STIs.
According to statistics, every third person needs a blood transfusion during his life. The number of donors in Kazakhstan has increased to 300 thousand donors per year. This figure increases due to the coverage of the necessary information among the population, especially in social networks. And to dispel stereotypes about donation, conditions and requirements for it were placed in all our platforms.
Don’t be afraid to donate blood! Everyone can find the strength and time to help people!
