The foreign students study neurology topics in their 3nd and 5 th courses. It is interesting, difficult and fun at the same time. After beginning the distance learning both the teachers and the students had to change usual approaches to education. The teachers are trying to find and implemment different ways of learning for better understanding the subject by students and keeping their attention. The students are trying to learn more independently, to support to teachers and group mates.
So, WhatsApp, Zoom, Hangouts applications are used for discussions questions of the topics, cases solving, monitoring of preparation and activity of students. KEYPS program is very useful for understanding learning aims and tasks by students and teachers, providing necessary education materials, assessment of students and monitoring by administration. In distance conditions questions for formative assessment are more difficult than were before. It is necessary for recalling and integration of learned content, for better remembering neurology terms and realizing difference between similar syndromes with different localizations of the lesion.
Thus, a formative assessment is not only an examination of students’ knowledge, but also a significant learning tool. The 5th course students after classes and preparation for final exams of their countries to master neurology skills, make videos and send them to their teachers for getting feedback. The students who have mastered of these skills help their course mates in training process.
Patience, hard work, discipline and mutual support are very important now for the successful completion of the academic year. I am sure our students and university staff have these qualities.
