The mobility of the teaching staff of the NJSC “Semey Medical University” is one of the important directions of the international and educational activities of the university, carried out with the aim of enriching knowledge, implementing joint educational programs, research projects, participating in internships at foreign universities, familiarizing with the cultural communities of other countries.
From April 20th to May 30th, 2021, within the program of academic mobility of teachers of Department of Molecular Biology and Medical Genetics named after academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan Raissov T.K. NJSC “SMU” planned and conducted online lectures on the discipline “Molecular Biology and Medical Genetics” for the foreign students of 1st year of the specialty “Medicine” of Bukovina State Medical University (Chernivtsi, Ukraine). A lot of preparatory work has been carried out on drawing up thematic plans of the lectures, agreeing on the dates, preparation of programs of academic mobility together with the departments of international cooperation of NJSC “SMU” and BSMU.
From the Department of Molecular Biology and Medical Genetics named after academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan Raissov T.K. NJSC “SMU” lectures are given by Orazalina Ainash Saparovna, Head of Department, candidate of biological sciences, associate professor. Lectures on the discipline “Molecular Biology and Medical Genetics” for the foreign students of 1st year of the specialty “General Medicine” of the NJSC “SMU” are conducted by the Kushniryk Olga Vasilievna, candidate of biological sciences, teacher of Medical biology and Genetics Department of BSMU. Lectures are held in English.
On April 26, 2021, a lecture was held by the Head of the Department of Molecular Biology and Medical Genetics named after academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan Raissov T.K. NJSC “SMU” Orazalina Ainash Saparovna on the topic «Introduction to the course of medical biology. Structural and functional organization of the cell. Molecular basis of heredity. Realization of hereditary information». The review lecture addresses the issues of structure, organization and functioning of genetic material at the molecular level, the implementation of hereditary information, matrix syntheses, and the regulation of gene expression. The lecture was conducted on the basis of the Google meeting platform. During the lecture, videos were shown, feedback from students was received.
At the beginning of the lecture, the Head of the Department of Medical Biology and Genetics of the Bukovina State Medical University (Chernivtsi, Ukraine), doctor of medical sciences, professor Bulyk Roman Evgenievich, who thanked the staff of the department and the Rector of Semey Medical University for the start of cooperation between our departments, in particular in working with foreign students, and hope for the further fruitful cooperation.
Students actively answered questions, showed interest in the issues under study. 5 lectures are planned on each side.
