Employees of the Department of Infectious Diseases, Dermatovenerology and Immunology of NCJSC “SMU” take part in a series of online seminars on complications of cirrhosis of the liver, which started on September 8, 2022. In seminar No. 1 “Topical issues of hepatology” Ph.D., hepatologist/gastroenterologist, resuscitator of the Clinic of Gastroenterology, Metabolic Diseases and Intensive Medicine, Aachen University Clinic, Aachen, Germany, Professor of the National Scientific Center of Oncology, consultant of the NROC, Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan Esmembetov K.I. presented the lecture “Therapeutic possibilities modern intensive hepatology: what causes cirrhosis patients to die from and how to prevent this?”. The seminar participants were presented with new data on the diagnosis and therapy of ACLF (Acute-on-chronic liver failure).
