On October 17, 2022, SMU, NCJSC hosted a round table in an offline format on the Silver University program as a university of the third age: “New opportunities and prospects”. The moderator of the city conference was Urankhaeva G.T. Sciences. Associate Professor of the Department of Dental Disciplines and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery of SMU, NCJSC Khaidarova N.B. participated, with the report “The Role of the Dentist” in the project “Silver University”, then representatives of the universities of Semey participated: Director of the Institute for Advanced Studies and Retraining “Alikhan Bokeikhan University” M. B. Moldazhanov; Kurzhikaeva M.M., head of the public reception of the branch of the party “AMANAT” of the Abai region; Zhaksylykova S.K., KSU “City House of Friendship”, etc. During the round table, they discussed “Silver” education: a set of educational practices for people of the “third age”, thanks to which they are resocialized and adapted to changing living conditions. At the end of the conference, the ceremony of signing a memorandum of cooperation between SMU, NCJSC and KSU “Center for the provision of special social services and active longevity No. 3 of Semey, Abai Region” took place.
