The Department of Molecular Biology and Medical Genetics named after Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan T.K. Raisov resumed curation of the student organization “Student – Donor”, which was established on the basis of the department in 2018.
The organizers of the student organization “Student – Donor” are the head of the department, associate professor Orazalina A.S., scientific supervisor Yelkenova B.Z. The scientific consultant of the organization is Professor M. R. Mynzhanov.
On 07 November 2022, the next scheduled meeting of volunteers of the student organization “Student – Donor” took place under the supervision of the department.
The student organization “Student – Donor” is a public organization that takes an active part in the educational process and social life of the Semey Medical University.
Chairman of the student organization “Student – Donor” Seitkali A., student of the 3215 group of the specialty “General Medicine”, members of the organization students of the specialty “General Medicine” Kazhymukanov Zhan, Satykenov Ersayyn, Galyakbar Madina, Azamatova Akbota, Tastanbekova Meruert, Agymova Venus, Baldyaeva Camilla, Ulan Samgar, Abishov Asset, Serkbekova Aliya, Alimkhanov Alisher, Serik Gauhar, Bakytzhanuly Bekzhan, Tairova Dilnaz, students of the specialty “Pediatrics” Zhetpisbayuly Bekzhan, Otarbek Ansar, students of the specialty “Pharmacy” Dalelkan Balgyn and “Dentistry” Musatayev Zhandos.
The members of the student organization regularly donate; collect material and conduct scientific research; analyze the results; implement a scientific project. Seminars on the inheritance of blood groups and Rh factor, measures to prevent the prevention of hereditary diseases are also organized, as well as master classes on the program “The first step to a future doctor” and intellectual games Magellan are held by the members of the organization. Donation of students is carried out on the basis of the “Semey Blood Center”.
Project objectives:
- To create an electronic database of students-donors of SMU with rare blood groups and Rh factor;
- Implementation of a scientific project based on the database obtained in the process of determining the blood group of students of the SMU, which are part of the Student – Donor organization;
- To carry out preventive work on rhesus conflict among students of SMU;
- Involvement of students in the volunteer movement.
