On November 21th 2022 a round table was organized at the Department of Psychiatry and Narcology on the topic: “Religious security and countering manifestations of extremism and terrorism among young people.” Organizers: Head of the Department of Psychiatry and Narcology, PhD Moldagaliev T. M., assistant of the Department Almagambetova A. A., curator: assistant of the Department of Simulation and Educational Technologies Musabekova N. E., curator assistant of the Department of Normal Physiology Shakabaeva A. A. Participants: students of 3rd and 5th years of GM. curatorial groups 5108, 3613, 3612, a foreign group 3640.
The head of the Department of Psychiatry and Narcology, T. M. Moldagaliev and the assistant of the Department, A. A. Almagambetova delivered a welcoming speech to the students of the 3rd and 5th courses of Semey Medical University. In their speech they outlined the relevance of the topic, drew students’ attention to the goals of forming the need for young people to have objective ideas about religion and the concept of extremism, terrorism and destructive behavior. They were introduced to the phenomena of religious fundamentalism, extremism and terrorism on religious grounds, the factors of their spread and means of protection from sects and cults.
A presentation was presented to the attention of students by Abetzhanova Madina, student of 5108 group which reflected information about the types of youth extremism; the reasons that encourage youth to extremist behavior; manifestations of radicalism and extremism; about the conditions and measures for effective prevention of extremism and terrorism.
Students actively engaged in discussions, asked questions, and mastered new knowledge.[/vc_column_text]
