On November 29, 2022, a student-scientific circle on the topic “Physiotherapy in children” was held on the basis of the SMU NCJSC UH under the leadership of the head of the Department of Pediatrics and Medical Rehabilitation named after D. M. Tusupova, c. m. s. Alimbayeva A. R. The meeting was held in a mixed mode, with the help of a Zoom conference. The participation was attended by: staff of the department, resident rehabilitologists, resident pediatricians, resident neonatologists, interns of the GP.

The relevance of the topic “Physiotherapy in children” is an integral part of the comprehensive treatment and rehabilitation of young patients. Rational use of these procedures increases the effectiveness of treatment, promotes faster recovery or compensation of the functions of the body disrupted by the disease, prevents the development of complications of diseases and reduces the side effect of drugs.

Therefore, the purpose of this meeting was to learn about the range of applications of physiotherapy, namely in children. The first part of the meeting included a report on the topic: “Physiotherapy in pediatrics”. The resident rehabilitologist of 2 years of training, Dauletzharova Zhaiyk, spoke about the general concept of physiotherapy, indications and contraindications, types of physiotherapy. During the meeting, interns and residents actively participated in the discussion. The second part was held in the form of a practical video lesson, where various methods of physiotherapy were demonstrated. At the end of the meeting of the student scientific circle, resident rehabilitologist of the 1st year of study Imanova Aizada conducted feedback for the participants in the form of a “question–answer”.
