The Olympiad on the discipline “Radiation diagnostics in dentistry” organized by the Department of Radiology was held in the lecture hall of the 3rd dormitory of the university on November 22, 2022
The Olympiad’s purpose was to increase students’ interest and motivation in the discipline through the Olympiad to show the importance of knowledge and skills in radiology within the speciality “Dentistry”. The participants of the Olympiad were 4th-year students of “Dentistry” and mobile exchange students from NCJSC «SMU»
The jury of the Olympiad included: the Head of the Department of Radiology, MD, assistent Professor Madieva Madina Rashidovna, head teacher of the department, PhD Kuanysheva Anargul Galymovna, associate Professor of the Department Raisov Daniyar Tolegenovich, assistant of the Department Almisaev Kairat Adilbekovich, assistant of the department Kultumanova Nurgul Maratovna.
Residents of the “Radiology” actively prepared for the Olympiad for 1-2 years of study. Before the start of the Olympiad, each student received a specific card by drawing lots.
The Olympiad consisted of 3 stages: Round 1 “Kahoot”: all participants were tested according to the KAHOOT program. Round 2 “Relay Race”: The relay race included six questions. Those students who had the 2nd round indicated in the card participated. The students answered the question, the number of which was shown on the card. Round 3 “OSPE”: OSPE consisted of 10 stations. The students who had the 3rd round indicated in their cards participated. Students passed all ten stations, answering questions for a limited time – 2 minutes.
Upon completion of all stages, according to the decision of the jury, the prizes were distributed as follows: 1st place was awarded to the participants of the 3rd group: Smagulov Adil, Akchabarov Miras, Khasenov Abylai, Omurzakov Azat, Anuar Ainur, Sailaubai Elzhas, Tusuporva, Erkenaz Kanatbai, Aslan Nurgaliyev Aibek. The winners of the Olympiad received diplomas and certificates. In conclusion, winners were congratulated by the head of the Department of Radiology, MD, аss professor Madieva Madina Rashidovna and the head teacher of the department, PhD Kuanysheva Anargul Galymovna.[/vc_column_text]
