On December 28, 2022, a round table was held at the Department of Public Health for 2nd and 4th year students of the Faculty of “Public Health” and for 4th year students of the Faculty of “Pharmacy” to explain the concept of the draft law aimed at improving the status of medical workers, protecting the rights of patients and improving the quality of medical care.
The development of the project of is conditioned by the need to improve the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in order to implement the instructions of the Head of State of the Republic of Kazakhstan, given at the third meeting of the National Council of Public Trust of the Republic of Kazakhstan on May 27, 2020, regarding the development and implementation of a system of legal and financial protection and responsibility of medical workers, including the guarantee of professional activity, as well as for the implementation of measures, enshrined in the national project “High-quality and affordable healthcare for every citizen “Healthy Nation” dated October 12, 2021 No. 725 and is aimed at improving the quality of medical services provided to the population.
The students were explained the rationale for the need to develop this project of law, its objectives, the subject of regulation and structure. It should be emphasized that when developing the project of law, the experience of foreign countries was studied and taken into account.
