In the period from December 06 to December 19 of the current year at the Department of Pediatric Infectious Diseases under the guidance of the head of the department Efendiev Imdat Musaevich for 4th year students of the specialty “General Medicine”, interns of the 6th year of the specialty “General Medical Practice” and residents of the specialty “Pediatrics” the winter school “Viral hepatitis in children” was held.
The problem of viral hepatitis is acute for the world health system. In 2016, WHO adopted the Global Health Sector Strategy on Viral Hepatitis with the goal of eliminating CH as a public health threat by 2030. It includes a 90% reduction in morbidity, a 60% reduction in mortality from viral hepatitis. In this regard, the purpose of this school is to consolidate the knowledge of students in clinical diagnostics, differential diagnosis, therapy and prevention of viral hepatitis in children.
The winter school program included the following issues: differential diagnosis of jaundice syndrome in children, viral hepatitis with a fecal-oral mechanism of infection (A and E), parenteral viral hepatitis (B, C, D), chronic viral hepatitis B and C, herpetic and cytomegalovirus hepatitis and specific prevention of viral hepatitis in children. The speakers were employees of the Department of Pediatric Infectious Diseases: Head of the Department Efendiev I.M. and assistants: Mansurova A.A., Sutormina A.V., Kumarbekova A.K., Smailov E.S., Dalelkanova T.D. Every day, school participants asked questions to which they received answers.
On the final day, in order to consolidate the material, testing was conducted among the participants of the winter school on the Kahoot platform.
The participants were awarded certificates. The students thanked the head of the Department of Children’s Infectious Diseases Efendiev I.M. and the whole team for organizing and holding the winter school.
