On January 17, 2023, under the leadership of the head of the Department of Children’s Infectious Diseases of the SMU, NCJSC, the chief freelance pediatric infectious disease specialist of the Abai region, PhD Efendiyev I. M. for medical workers of healthcare institutions of the Abay region and East Kazakhstan region on the topic: “Influenza and acute respiratory viral infections (ARVI) in children” a training seminar was organized. The seminar was held in online- format on the Zoom platform.

Efendiyev Imdat made an introductory speech, who focused the attention of the participants on the relevance of the problem. Assistant of the Department of Children’s Infectious Diseases, PhD Mansurova A. A. talked about the etiology, epidemiology, classification, clinic and criteria of the severity of influenza and ARVI in children. Assistant of the Department of Children’s Infectious Diseases Dalelkanova T. D. continued her speech with a presentation “Differential diagnosis, laboratory examination, therapy and prevention of influenza and ARVI in children”.

Efendiyev I. M. summed up the results of the seminar and answered questions from the participants. The organizers of the seminar at the end received feedback from the participants. A total of 100 participants took part in the seminar.
