World cancer day

World cancer day

World Cancer Day is celebrated on February 4 in Kazakhstan, as well as around the world.

The fight against oncological diseases is one of the priorities of the healthcare system of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Domestic medical organizations have advanced technologies for diagnosing and treatment of cancer, which make possible to achieve a complete recovery of the patient, especially in the early stages of the disease. Screening programs are the most effective method of prevention and early diagnosis of cancer.

It is necessary to follow simple but very effective rules to reduce the risk of developing malignant neoplasms: lead an active lifestyle and exercise regularly, consume a sufficient amount of vegetables and fruits daily, control body weight, quit smoking and alcohol consumption and regularly undergo preventive examinations.

Department of Clinical Oncology and Nuclear Medicine named after Professor Mussinov D. R. together with the students organized a flash mob dedicated to World Cancer Day. The main purpose of this event is to focus public attention on the global problem of reducing the burden of oncopathology. Scientists believe that cases of cancer can be prevented if the population is provided with appropriate medical care, and early diagnosis helps to significantly reduce mortality from this disease.[/vc_column_text]
