On February 3, 2023, at Semey Medical University, NCJSC, in a solemn ceremony, a special award was presented – the Golden Scalpel nomination, which is awarded to doctors who have made a significant contribution to the development of our university and work in the surgical field. By the decision of the Academic Council No. 6 of January 31, 2023, the “Golden Scalpel” award was awarded to the head of the department, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Aimagambetov Meirbek Zhaksybekovich and a clinician, a highly qualified surgeon with a wide range of knowledge and practical skills, Candidate of Medical Sciences Erlan Myrzabosynovich Asylbekov. During the solemn ceremony, the well-deserved award with warm wishes was presented by the Chairman of the Board – Rector of SMU, NCJSC, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Altai Akhmetkalievich Dyussupov. Also, a congratulatory speech was given to the head of the Health Department of the Abai region, Doctor of Medical Sciences Sandybaev Marat Nurlanbekovich.
