February 09, 2023 at the Department of Molecular Biology and Medical Genetics named after Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan Raisov T.K., a meeting of the scientific circle “Molecular Genetics Researchers” was held. The circle consists of 82 students of the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th courses of the specialties “General Medicine”, “Pharmacy”, “Dentistry”.

Present: teacher Mukhamediyarova L.A. – responsible for the department for the SNK, chairmen of the SNK – Kalelova Malika, Samand Abdulkabir, 2nd year students of the specialty “General Medicine”, as well as students of 1, 2, 3, 4 courses of specialties “General Medicine”, “Pharmacy”, “Dentistry”.

The agenda was:

1. To acquaint students with the main forms of participation in the 65th scientific and practical conference with international participation “Science and Health”, dedicated to the Day of Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, which will be held on April 12-13, 2023 at Semey Medical University, NCJSC. Speech by the teacher Mukhamediyarova L.A., responsible for the SNK at the department.
2. Preliminary hearing of reports, presentations of students, preparation for the speech, draw conclusions on the abstracts and decide the number of abstracts to be submitted.
3. Speech by the chairmen of the Council of People’s Commissars – Kalelova Malika, Samand Abdulkabir, 2nd year students “General Medicine”.

On the first question, the teacher Mukhamediyarova L. A., responsible for the SNK at the department, spoke about the main forms of participation at the conference: publication of abstracts + oral report (duration – no more than 7 minutes); only oral presentation; only publication of abstracts; poster report. Also about the sections of the conference:

1. Fundamental Sciences.
2. Public health and epidemiology.
3. Pediatrics.
4. Pharmacy and pharmacology.
5. Infectious diseases.
6. PHC.
7. Dental disciplines.
8. Psychiatry and psychology.
9. Surgical and related disciplines.
10. Therapeutic and related disciplines.
11. Poster reports.

Listened to the reports-presentations of students on the topics:

1. “Carcinogenesis onco-protein, proto-oncogender roli”, students of group 1103, faculty of “General Medicine” spoke: Ersainova D., Islyamov A., Kazhimuratova L. Project leaders: Mukhamedyarova L. A., Esentayeva A. M.
2. “Editing the human genome CRISPR CAS9”, students of group 1122, faculty of “General Medicine” spoke: Karpacheva A., Kabieva D. Supervisor: Mynzhanov M.R.
3. “Genotherapy and its possibilities”, a student of group 1111, faculty of “General Medicine” spoke: Esenova Talshyn. Head: Ibrayeva G.R.
4. “Stem cells and their use in medicine”, students of group 1128, faculty of “General Medicine” spoke: Akhmetbek A., Dyusupova A. Head: Orazalina A.S.

The chairmen of the Council of People’s Commissars – Kalelova Malika, Samand Abdulkabir, 2nd year students of “General Medicine” also spoke. They explained that the student is trained in the method of processing the received data and analyzing the results, compiling and designing reports and reports on the results of research work. The work of the scientific circle contributes to the expansion of the horizons and scientific erudition of students. Also, they noted that the students conducted a fruitful search, but also noted that the speakers take into account and pay attention to the design of the presentation, the content of each slide, the length of the report, the mandatory importance of using reliable sources and materials.

As a result, the teacher Mukhamediyarova L.A. thanked the speakers, made corrections to each speaker and recommended to improve the presentations, add more practical part and further show the work according to the topics: for example, work in the ROD in Semey. She noted that, on behalf of the department, letters will be sent to the relevant organizations for the work of students. Wishing success to the students!
