On February 10, 2023, the military department of Semey Medical University, NCJSC held an event dedicated to the Day of «Complete liberation of Leningrad from the fascist blockade», by students 3520 – group of the Faculty of General Medicine. Students received information about the Kazakhs who took part in the battle near Leningrad, the Kazakh heroes who showed courage in the battle, the courage of Zhambyl Zhabayev against the enemy with a pen. The event was held with the participation of teachers of the military department colonel of the medical service Orynbasarov Sh.O., lieutenant colonel of medical service Sherstobitov I.N., lieutenant colonel of medical service Smailov N.S.
