On February 13, 23, the Department of Biochemistry and Chemical Disciplines named after Professor Tapbergenov S.O., took part in the implementation of the university project “Teaching self-diagnosis of breast cancer in Kazakhstani youth.” Teacher Balashkevich N.A. (Department of General Practice) presented presentations on epidemiology, risk factors, clinical signs of breast cancer and breast self-examination algorithm. The teachers answered the test questions before and after the presentation material, went through a practical part on breast cancer self-diagnosis dummies, received handouts in two languages, so that they could inform and share with their family members, relatives and friends. We express our gratitude to N.A. Balashkevich for the informative and useful lesson and the opportunity to participate in an important and necessary project. We would like to wish the lecturer and all members of the staff and the university, our relatives and friends good health.
