On February 9, 2023, the Department of Dental Disciplines and Maxillofacial Surgery of SMU, NCJSC, represented by assistant of the Department Turusbekova D. Kh. and 4th year students of the Faculty of Dentistry visited the Gymnasium No. 37 named after Ibrai Altynsarin in Semey, where she conducted career guidance work among students of grades 10-11.

During the meetings with the students, conversations were held with the students, detailed information about the Semey Medical University was provided and brochures about the university were distributed. The teacher spoke about the long-term achievements of SMU, NCJSC, noted the possibilities of studying at the Medical Foundation, where future doctors will take a preparatory course.

All the questions of students and teachers were answered by assistant Turusbekova D. Kh. and 4th year students. During the meeting, students asked students questions about student life, learning conditions, difficulties and problems in the learning process. Students majoring in Dentistry, in turn, told about their Alma Mater, reported on great opportunities for self-realization and self-development at the university, as well as opportunities to participate in various scientific, student circles, schools (the school of “Healthy Smile”, etc.), interesting scientific projects, scientific and practical conferences, congresses, Olympiads, competitions within the university and with trips to other cities of the Republic of Kazakhstan and neighboring countries.

During the conversation, more than 30 students of the school chose the chemical and biological direction and expressed a desire to enter the Semey Medical University, including the Faculty of Dentistry.
