On April 18, 2023, the Department of General Educational Disciplines at the university held an engaging and interactive scientific club focused on “Information Technologies in Medicine” to commemorate the Day of Science. Under the guidance of teacher Gulmira Kadyrbolatovna Tokabayeva, students from various groups participated in the open circle, including Mendybaeva Nursulu, Aidosov Zhandos, Zakaryanova Zere, Yerpanova Aruzhan, Toleugazi Umit, and Kasenova Gulzat.
During the scientific circle, students presented their research papers on a range of topics, such as the role of IT skills of patients and doctors for the digitalization of medicine, robotics in medicine, and the role of telemedicine in the fight against COVID-19. Other presentations included telecommunications and networks, SMART-technologies, the use of SMART-services, and creating animated videos for profit.
The presentations were followed by a lively discussion, where participants asked questions and received informative responses. The scientific club was an excellent platform for students to collaborate and exchange ideas, leading to possible future research partnerships. At the end of the event, the participants were recognized for their outstanding contributions with letters of appreciation. The Department of General Educational Disciplines looks forward to organizing more engaging and interactive events that bring students together to discuss cutting-edge research topics.
