On April 22, 2023, the Department of General Educational Disciplines organized an intra-university Olympiad in Kazakh language for first-year foreign students as part of the Day of Unity of the Peoples of Kazakhstan. The aim was to determine the students’ level of state language proficiency.

The Olympiad consisted of two stages. In the first stage, students were given pictures and asked to write a text based on them. In the second stage, they were asked to give a monologue on the topic “My Future Profession.” The Olympiad was conducted online.

Baysla Prasoon, a student of the 1512 group, won the Grand Prix. Anjali Rai, a student of the 1513 group, secured the first position, while the second position was shared by Kuldip Singh of the 1509 group and Tabish Riyaz of the 1505 group. Gazanfar Nisar, a student of the 1510 group, took third place.

We extend our gratitude to all the international students who showed respect for our country by taking part in the Olympiad and demonstrated their efforts to learn the state language in a short period of time.
