Department of Biochemistry and Chemical Disciplines named after Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Tapbergenov S.O. takes an active part in the work of the Silver University project.

On April 26, 2023, the group 302 kz (“Pharmacy”) under the leadership of the curator Lauenova S.A. visited the State Institution “Medical and Social Institution for the Elderly and Disabled of a General Type” in Semey.

The medical and social institution is intended for round-the-clock permanent residence in a hospital and daytime stay in a semi-hospital for disabled and elderly people who are not able to serve themselves independently and who need special social services for health reasons.

The age-old tradition of mankind to honor, respect, old age, wise over the years, was the goal of the concert program dedicated to the holiday “Day of Unity of the Peoples of Kazakhstan”, in which students danced, sang, played instruments of different nationalities, read the works of poets of Kazakhstan. Especially cheered up the elderly dancing with students. The joyful faces of the elderly became the highest award for 3rd year students.

Each ward is an interesting personality, with their own destiny and history – they are grateful that today their gray-haired old age has not remained aloof from the life of society and are glad that there are young people in the city who honor the older generation and do not leave them unattended . It was these words of gratitude that were expressed by them at the end of the event.

It remains to be added, do not forget that older people, like children, are not strangers, and therefore give them your attention and care more often.
