On April 21, 2023, the preliminary, and on April 28, the final stage of the III Bekhterev Olympiad among medical students, residents and postgraduates in the specialty “psychiatry” took place.
Resident in the specialty “Psychiatry”, Department of Psychiatry and Narcology, NJSC “Semey Medical University”, Akkuzinova Kamila Farkhatovna, took an active part in the Olympiad, and took the honorable 3rd place.
It is worth noting that 433 people from most federal districts of Russia, as well as Armenia, Kazakhstan, Latvia, and the Republic of Belarus were registered to participate in the III Bekhterev Olympiad.
The first stage, which consists in passing test tasks for a limited time, was successfully completed by 230 participants.
Most of the tasks were focused on clinical practice and dealt with modern issues of diagnosis and evidence-based therapy of mental disorders.
11 Olympic medalists with the highest rating points of the first stage competed for the right to be the absolute winner in the final.
During the final, the participants in a videoconference mode under the supervision of the Competition Commission solved a clinical problem, conducted a telemedicine consultation with an actor patient, and also acted as clinical psychopharmacologists.
Despite the increased level of complexity of the test, 6 finalists demonstrated high performance, including a resident in the specialty “psychiatry”, Department of Psychiatry and Narcology, NAO “Semey Medical University”, Akkuzinova Kamila Farkhatovna.
