On May 12, on the basis of the University Hospital of SMU, NCJSC, at the Department of Hospital Surgery, Anesthesiology and Resuscitation, a meeting was held for 7th year interns who wish to enter residency in the specialty “Anesthesiology and Reanimatology, incl. children’s”.

Professor of the department Syzdykbayev M.K. made a presentation to the audience, where he introduced the interns to the staff of the department, the history of the department, its achievements, equipment, clinical facilities, and the work of residents in the department. He especially noted the medical work of the staff of the department, which consists of: holding a morning medical conference, consultations, bypassing patients, working in intensive care units for adults, children, for cardiologic patients; working in the operating room as an anesthesiologist and assistant, conducting consultations in different departments of the university hospital. At the moment, residents of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd years are studying with us in the specialty “Anesthesiology and Reanimatology, incl. children’s, which is designed for 3 years. They carry out scheduled and emergency duty, independently perform anesthetic benefits, appointments in intensive care under the supervision of an experienced clinical mentor of an anesthesiologist-resuscitator. Together with the staff of the department they conduct scientific work. Over the past three years, more than 20 articles and abstracts have been published jointly with residents. They shared their practical experience – 3rd year doctoral student Orazgalieva M.T., resident doctors.
