The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, together with the National Center for Public Health, approved the order of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated February 9, 2023 No. 87 “On the implementation of the State program for the implementation of language policy in the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2020-2025 in the healthcare system for 2023-2025. In accordance with the plan of events, a republican seminar was held in Almaty on September 08, 2023 on the topic “History of Kazakh writing and the Kazakh newspaper” on the occasion of the 110th anniversary of the publication of the first issue of the newspaper “Kazakh”.

The seminar was attended by Zhorokpayeva M.D., Ph.D., acting associate professor of the Department of DES of Semey Medical University NJSC.

At the seminar, presentations were made and a large amount of information relating to Kazakh writing and the 110th anniversary of the newspaper “Kazak” was analyzed. The advantages and disadvantages of the proposed alphabet instructions based on the Latin script are noted. The newspaper “Kazak” is a socio-political, literary and cultural publication published in the city of Orenburg in 1913-1918 (the first issue was published on February 2, 1913).
