On October 6-7, 2023 in Astana hosted the VII Central Asian International Forum on Quality Assurance of Education “Sustainable Future of Education – quality and Competitiveness: historical perspective, realities and priorities”.

The annual IAAR Forum is aimed at discussing topical issues of the development of the internal and external quality assurance system of education, expanding cooperation with foreign educational organizations, promoting a culture of quality and constructive interaction between the academic community and the international labor market.

The following key issues were discussed during the Forum:

• Global challenges and trends in the development of the education system
• Development of scientific and educational models and technologies in the context of digital transformation
• Quality assurance of medical education: integration of science and practice.

The forum was attended by representatives of state bodies, international networks of quality assurance of higher education, heads of higher educational institutions of Kazakhstan, Belgium, India, Malaysia, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Moldova, Armenia, scientists from far and near abroad.

At this forum, the Chairman of the Board – Rector A.A.Dyusupov and Vice-Rector for Academic and Educational Work Smailova Zh.K. took part in the work of this forum on behalf of our university with a report “Modern trends in the trinity of education, science, clinics as an important factor in ensuring the quality of medical education”, where the experience of SMU, NCJSC on quality assurance was presented medical education with the integration of science and practice.
