On 18.10.2023, the information and educational lecture dedicated to the Day of Spiritual Harmony of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the topic “Interfaith and interethnic harmony in the Republic of Kazakhstan” was held at the NAO “Semey Medical University”.

The event was attended by employees of the Center for the Study of Problems of Religions of the Abai region: Baizhokenov M.D. (theologian), Kusembekova A.M. (specialist).

The organizers of the lecture are teachers of the OOD department: Sadykova L.K., and Zhakupbekova E.A.

The purpose of the event is to promote interethnic and interfaith peace and harmony, promote spiritual and moral values, increase respect for all religious cultures and confessions, as well as strengthen tolerance in the public consciousness of students.

It is worth noting that the Day of Spiritual Accord originates from the First World Congress of Spiritual Accord, which was held in 1992 in Almaty. And since then, the Day of Spiritual Harmony has been celebrated in Kazakhstan on October 18. This is a day of unity and forgiveness, mercy and mutual understanding.
