On October 18, 2023, within the framework of the theme “Republic Day”, a curatorial hour was held under the leadership with the head of military department, colonel of the medical service of the Semey Medical University NJSC Sh. Orazmukhametovich and with the participation of students of group 3617.

On October 25, 1990, by decision of the Supreme Council, the Declaration of State Sovereignty of Kazakhstan was adopted. With the adoption of this Declaration, the independence of the territory, citizenship and individual traditions of Kazakhstan was proclaimed. This day is the day when a bold step was taken towards the sovereignty and independence of Kazakhstan.

At the first meeting of the National Constituent Assembly, held in Ulytau on June 16, 2022, the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev proposed restoring the status of Republic Day and celebrating it on October 25 as a national holiday.

This year our holiday will be celebrated as a national holiday for the second time. During the discussion, we took a step back in history and discussed the decisions that determined our citizenship, the meaning of the Declaration of National Sovereignty, and the place of the national holiday in the life of our country.
