Interns of the Department of GMP of the Ust-Kamenogorsk branch of the SMU, NCJSC together with the curators watched a motion picture based on the description of the life path of the national intellectual, activist Alash-Mirzhakip Dulatuly called “Oyan, Kazak!”. The film covers the period of Mirzhakip Dulatula’s life in 1909-1935. This film tells about the publication and distribution of the book “Oyan, Kazakh!”, the writing of the novel “Bakytsyz Zhamal”, the life of Kazakh society in the post-revolutionary years, socio-political activity during the famine, tells the hard years in Kyzylorda, Semipalatinsk and in the famous Moscow prison “Butyrka” and the love story with his soulmate Gainizhamal.
Thanks to this film, we have witnessed the patience, organization, indomitable courage and will of our people during the famine.
After watching the film, the interns noted that they were particularly impressed by the great intellectuals of the Alash party, who contributed to the scientific basis of their native language, to their educational activities and the struggle for the land and freedom of the people.
This work made it clear to modern youth that they should work hard, get a comprehensive education, do everything possible for their people, strive to develop our country.
They expressed their wishes that in the era of globalization, more historical works were created that glorify national values and enhance the status of our native language.
