Symposium “Tick-borne encephalitis”

Tick-borne encephalitis is a natural focal arbovirus infection with a transmissible mechanism of transmission of the pathogen. The incidence of tick-borne encephalitis is registered in 25 European and 7 Asian countries with a population of about 700 million people. In Kazakhstan, there is no tendency to decrease the incidence, from 22 to 60 cases of tick-borne encephalitis are registered annually. A high incidence is observed in the Almaty and East Kazakhstan regions.
On November 8, a symposium “Tick-borne encephalitis” was held with the participation of interns of the GP and bachelors. The symposium focused on the issues of diagnosis, the clinic of infection and a clinical case of tick-borne encephalitis was given. The organizers of the symposium were associate professors Nuralinova G.I. and Maukayeva S.B. They stressed the importance of this endemic infection, the need for alertness and correct and timely diagnosis.
