Modern trends in the development of medical education impose increasing demands on the clinical training of a professional specialist. In the age of innovation in modern education, the role of the need for mentoring is in demand. The achievement of professional competencies is ensured by the development of practical skills of residents in practical conditions – on a clinical, dental basis under the guidance of a clinical mentor.  Since September 2023, the Department of Dental Disciplines and Maxilla-Facial surgery  has been training in the residency 7RO1155 “Pediatric Dentistry”. Residents of “Pediatric Dentistry” develop their practical competencies under the guidance of a clinical mentor, a pediatric dentist with the highest medical category and work experience in the field of dentistry for more than 30 years Akhmetova G.T. Practical classes of residents are conducted at the clinical bases of the UG NAO “MUS” and “Dental Clinic NAO “MUS”. Regular evaluation with feedback is conducted by an academic mentor, associate professor Abralina Sh.Sh., who also monitors the implementation of the resident’s individual plan, in accordance with the RUP and the catalog of basic disciplines.  The clinical mentor in his work is guided by the “Regulations on the clinical mentor of the resident of the NAO “MUS”.
