On November 20-21, 2023, a regular meeting was held with 1-2nd year students studying in the specialty «OM», «PEDIATRY» and «DENTISTRY» of the teaching staff of the military department together with the leadership of the School of General Medicine.
The main purpose of this meeting was to convey the basic rules and conditions for admission to the military department to university students. The head of the military department cycle, reserve colonel Mamykanov Rinat Toleutaevich , and senior teacher reserve colonel Amanov Marat Shamilovich, deputy Head of the Military Departament, Lieutenant Colonel of the Reserve Medical Service Smagulov Ardabek Tuleubekovich, spoke to the students, who shared with the students their practical experiences of serving in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan, spoke about the benefits that are currently available in the Army (for example, not all they know that the salary of a young lieutenant of the medical service is now 300 thousand and plus monthly compensation in the amount of 100 thousand tenge for each family member, then the salary is under 700 thousand tenge; vacation and sick leave are paid in full; retirement 47 years, the opportunity studies in foreign universities with continued salary and many other benefits).
Students who are no older than 24 years of age for the year of the competition are allowed to participate in the competition. A student who has expressed a desire to participate in the competition to study at the military department, from February 1 to May 1, 2024, fills out an application in the form, with the following documents attached:
-Application (written at the military department);
-Identity card (original and copy);
– Certificate of registration or military ID (original and copy);
-Photos size 3×4 – 1 pcs;
-Certificate of presence or absence of criminal record;
-Document (if available) confirming the sporting achievement;
-Certificate of the student’s actual studies at the university, signed by the dean of the faculty;
The competition for selecting students is carried out in four stages:
Stage I – passing a medical examination . To undergo a medical examination, students at the military department receive issued medical examination cards. Medical examination of students is carried out at local military authorities in accordance with the Rules for Conducting Military Medical Examination. A medical examination is carried out in the year of the competition in the period from March 1 to May 31. Students who have not passed a medical examination are not allowed to participate in the competition.
Stage II – conducting professional psychological testing. Professional psychological testing of students is carried out by the selection committee in the computer classes of the university and includes checking the level of motivation, stress resistance, critical and logical thinking.
Stage III – physical fitness test. The physical fitness of students is assessed by the results of passing physical education standards.
Stage IV – competitive selection, carried out in accordance with the calculation of the rating score, compiled and approved by the head of the university in agreement with the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
