The seminar named “chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS)” for interns and 5th year students of GM was carried out on January 12, 2024 by the Department of General Medical Practice in Semey. This seminar was organized by Abdildina Gainigul 2nd year residency student of “Family medicine” the specialty and clinical mentor Temirtasova Zh.O. The disease has been known since the mid-80s. The morbility of CFS in the world has been constantly increasing. The women aged 25 to 45 years (up to 80% of cases) are affected mainly. The prevalence of CFS among the population can reach 2% according to different assessment. It is approximately 120–140 million people worldwide. The audience was familiarized with the causes, risk factors, symptoms and diagnosis of this disease. Recommendations are given on an integrated approach to the treatment of CFS, lifestyle correction, and adherence to work and rest regimes.
