On 01/25/2024, the curator of the military department, under the guidance of senior lecturer Lieutenant Colonel of the reserve medical service Smailov N.S., held a curatorial hour dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Kazakh batyr Rahimzhan Koshkarbayev, who set the end point of the war.
Students of the 3516 group got acquainted with R. Koshkarbayev’s childhood, his feat during the war, awards, marital status and life in the postwar years. It was only at the age of 17 that the students were impressed that they volunteered for the war.
On April 30, 1945, Rakimzhan Koshkarbayev, together with the soldier Grigory Bulatov, hung the flag of the Soviet Union on the Reichstag. With this feat, he put an end to a brutal war
Rakimzhan Koshkarbayev died on August 10, 1988. Eleven years later, in 1999, he was awarded the title of National Hero of Kazakhstan. It is a pity that only after death was courage recognized.
Thanks to such watches, young people instill a sense of patriotism, instill heroism and help not to forget our history.
