February 7, 2024 employees of the Department of Internal Medicine and Rheumatology conducted an open lesson on ITTP technology (interprofessional peer training) on the topic: “Nephrotic syndrome in systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), therapy management.”
Preparation for this lesson began with the joint work of rheumatology and nephrology residents in the department, where the supervision and examination of a patient diagnosed with SLE with kidney damage was carried out. Under the guidance of Professor R.L. Ivanova rheumatology residents: Karakanova A., Serikova T. presented the patient’s clinical case in chronological order. Resident nephrologists under the guidance of assistant Botabaeva A.S. covered the topics of morphological diagnosis of Lupus nephritis (speaker Isabaeva A.), principles of therapy (speaker Unarbekova A.) and prognosis of lupus nephritis (speaker Bayau A.), based on KDIGO recommendations and protocols of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan. As a result of the work of the council of residents, prognoses were discussed and recommendations were given for further management and treatment of the patient.
The use of interprofessional peer training helps to expand the theoretical and clinical horizons of residents.[/vc_column_text]
