Rational nutrition is a balanced diet, compiled taking into account gender, age, health status, lifestyle, the nature of work and professional activity of a person, and the climatic conditions of his residence. A properly formulated diet increases the body’s ability to resist negative environmental factors, promotes health, active longevity, resistance to fatigue and high performance. The composition of food, its quantity and properties determine physical development and growth, morbidity, ability to work, life expectancy and neuropsychic state. Therefore, knowledge of the basic principles of healthy eating is the most important aspect of a doctor’s activity, transmitting this information to a wide segment of the population.

Considering the importance of the problem, at the Department of AFP in Semey, with the participation of 6th and 7th year interns, a curatorial hour “Rational nutrition in human life” was held, prepared and conducted by the staff of the department: head department, professor Dyusupova A.A., teachers Belyaeva T.M., Faizova R.I., Kamasheva G.T., Terekhova T.I., Khismetova A.M. together with interns of GP group 604. It was emphasized that proper nutrition involves the acquisition and assimilation of knowledge on how to maintain one’s health and prevent its impairment; development of skills and abilities for a safe, healthy life – fostering a culture of nutrition, creating an environment that promotes health and healthy eating, the development of healthy habits and the formation of the need for a healthy lifestyle. The information aroused the interest of the listeners, which was confirmed by the answers to the quiz questions.
