February 23 and 24, 2024 Assistant of the Department of Therapy of NAO MUS Sarsebaeva GS, with the support of the company MEDTRONIK KAZAKHSTAN, organized and conducted a seminar on the topic “Use of high-tech methods in the treatment of type 1 diabetes mellitus.” The lecturer was an endocrinologist of the highest category, head of the Medical Center “Institute of Endocrinology” in Almaty – Ibraeva A.Kh. The participants of the seminar were assistants of the Department of Therapy, endocrinologists from Semey, Pavlodar, Astana, Karaganda, as well as endocrinology residents of 2 years of study in Semey and Pavlodar.
Today, the most modern form of insulin therapy for type 1 diabetes is the so-called closed-cycle hybrid system. This is the latest generation insulin pump, model 780, connected to a device for continuous measurement of glucose levels in tissues. The lecturer explained the advantages of an insulin pump, and discussed methods for installing and regulating the operation of this device.
