The activities of the preparatory department “Medical foundation” of Semey Medical University are aimed at preparing schoolchildren for the UNT in the subjects: chemistry and biology. Chemistry classes are conducted in the classrooms of the university by the associate professor of the Department of Biochemistry and Chemical Disciplines named after Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Tapbergenov S.O., Dinzhumanova R.T. Among the positive aspects of preparatory courses for applicants, the following facts can be noted:

• The applicant receives a standard set of knowledge in the core subjects of future professional training, which is sufficient to pass entrance examinations to a university (CT/UNT in chemistry), in addition, during the training process the applicant not only gets acquainted with sample exam tasks, but also gains practical experience their decisions.
• An applicant who has completed preparatory courses acquires an additional psychological advantage for entrance examinations over other applicants.
• At the trial UNT, students of the “Medical foundation” NJSC “Semey Medical University” scored quite high points in chemistry (35-40 points out of 40).
