On the occasion of the Nauryz holiday, with the aim of showing the spirit of our culture and the promotion of Kazakh traditions, the teaching staff of the Department of Propedeutics of Children’s Diseases of NCJSC “SMU” with the support of our dear parents and grandmothers, conducted a ceremony called “Rite of Cutting the fetter”.

In Kazakh culture, one of the rituals that have a high educational value is the cutting of a child’s fetter. This ritual is performed with the wish that the baby takes confident steps and walks quickly. This ritual of the Kazakh people, passed down from generation to generation, has deep educational content.
