On March 11, 2024, at the Department of Dental Disciplines and Maxillofacial Surgery, the “Orthopedic Dentistry” Olympiad was held among 2nd-year students of the medical university. The aim of the event was to strengthen the theoretical and practical skills of future dentists. At the opening of the Olympiad, all participants were congratulated by the head of the department, Dana Mukashevna Suleimenova, and the assistant of the department, Symbat Kamalkanovich Kabdykanov.
The competition included the following stages:
- The first stage – Kahoot! format testing.
- The second stage – OSPE (practical skills performance).
- The third stage – modeling of individual groups of teeth. Each group of students had to create a tooth model considering the assigned number according to the numbering provided by the organizers of the Olympiad.
The Olympiad was successful, and the winners were announced, demonstrating the best results in the competition:
1st place – 201 group
2nd place – 207 group
3rd place – 204 group
The winners were awarded certificates and educational materials as a reward for their achievements. Students enjoyed the format of the Olympiad, where everyone could unleash their potential and developed an interest in their future profession as a dentist.
