This year, the Republic of Kazakhstan has introduced a new approach to celebrating one of the most significant national holidays, which deepens the national traditions and symbolism that marks the arrival of spring and the beginning of a new calendar year. The ten-day celebrations, called Nauryznam, reflect a kaleidoscope of cultural and traditional events aimed at renewing and giving new meaning to the celebration of  Nauryz. March 15 is designated as a day of charity – The Mercy Day. This day is dedicated to charity, mercy and good neighborliness throughout the country.

The staff of the Department of Biochemistry and Chemical Disciplines named after Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Tapbergenov S.O. did not stand aside either. As part of the “Igі ister kuni” initiative, on March 15, 2024, department employees provided financial assistance to a family in need. The family is going through difficult days and needs support and financial assistance. It has been 1.5 years since three-year-old Erasyl was diagnosed with type III SMA, and in order to recover, Erasyl now needs to receive an injection worth 1 billion tenge. We urge everyone who has the opportunity to help such families, and not to remain aloof from other people’s problems. The department staff wishes Erasyl health, strength, patience and a speedy recovery!
