Nauryz is spring Festival

On March 18, 2024, senior teacher of the Department of Physiological Disciplines named after Honored Worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan T.A. Nazarova, curator of group 2419 Kusainova K.T. organized an event dedicated to Nauryz. Nauryz is a celebration of the arrival of spring, the renewal of nature, the birth of a new life and the New Year.

At the Nauryz celebration, a presentation was made about the history and traditions of the Nauryz holiday, about various types of national games. A quiz was organized on knowledge of folk proverbs and sayings among students and teachers of the department. A festive table with national dishes was set. One of our Kazakh customs “Syrga salu” was shown at the festival. “Syrga salu” means to wear earrings. A Kazakh bride wears gold earrings on her ears during matchmaking. This means an agreement between the parents of the bride and groom about the marriage. This tradition has remained an integral part of life since the time of our ancestors.
