A tuberculosis prevention month has started in Kazakhstan, timed to coincide with World Tuberculosis Day from February 24 to March 24, 2024, under the motto: “We can defeat tuberculosis.” On March 14, 2024, on the basis of «Polyclinic №1 in Semey», within the framework of the School of Preventive medicine, Associate Professor of the Department of GP Adilgozhina S.M., a seminar was held among doctors and medical workers, residents on the topic: “Tubercleh is a silent killer No. 1”. A tuberculosis prevention month has started in Kazakhstan, timed to coincide with World Tuberculosis Day from February 24 to March 24, 2024, under the motto: “We can defeat tuberculosis.” On March 14, 2024, on the basis of Polyclinic No. 1 in Semey, within the framework of the School of Preventive medicine, Ph.D. and Associate Professor of the Department of OVP, S.M. Adilgozhina, a seminar was held among doctors and medical workers, residents on the topic: “Tubercleh is a silent killer №1”. The purpose of the month: is to increase public awareness of tuberculosis immunoprophylaxis, increase the alertness of primary health care doctors for early diagnosis, strengthen preventive measures and public awareness of the first signs of tuberculosis, the importance of timely medical treatment, and the effectiveness of treatment. Clinical cases were reviewed. Tuberculosis remains the deadliest infectious killer in the world. More patients die from this disease worldwide than from all infectious and parasitic diseases combined. The modern tuberculosis epidemic has acquired global proportions. No country can ignore the problem of tuberculosis, as it threatens the health of the population, the state of the economy and the further development of society.
