Nauryz Meiramy is a holiday of spring renewal in Kazakhstan. According to the eastern calendar, Nauryz is the first day of the new year and coincides with the spring equinox. This is truly a national holiday, a holiday of strengthening friendship and brotherhood of the peoples of the republic, the revival of primordial traditions, as well as the harmony of nature and man. It is believed that a generous celebration of Nauryz will bring abundance and success to the home for the whole year. For the people of Kazakhstan, this holiday is a symbol of spring renewal, the triumph of love, fertility and friendship.

On March 18, 2024, the Nauryz holiday was celebrated at the Department of Biochemistry and Chemical Disciplines named after Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor S.O. Tapbergenov. Students of the supervised groups presented staged customs “Betashar”, “Erulik”, a display of national clothing and jewelry. The guests of the celebration were the School of Dentistry, Pharmacy, Public Health and Nursing, the Department of Military Training, the Department of Physiological Disciplines named after Honored Scientist of the Republic of Kazakhstan T.A. Nazarova. Guests were greeted with songs, dances, games and a generously laid dastarkhan.
