From April 15 to April 26 residents of Semey Medical University, specializing in General Surgery, completed an internship at the Siberian State Medical University (Tomsk, Russia).
Eldos Nurgazinov is a 2nd year resident (specialty «General surgery», discipline «Emergency surgery») and Sayan Begeldinov is a 3rd year resident (specialty «General surgery», discipline «Planned surgery»).
Priority areas: endovideosurgical, hybrid surgical interventions; medical-diagnostic tactics in hiatal hernias of the diaphragm; postburn scar strictures of the esophagus and stomach; chronic pancreatitis, cysts, fistulas and pancreatic tumors; portal hypertension syndrome, gastrointestinal bleeding, etc.

The internship was organised as part of the partnership agreement between the Semey Medical University and Siberian State Medical University.
