A round table on the topic: “Measles. The relevance of the problem”

On 04/26/2024, within the framework of the signed memorandum in the field of international cooperation between the Andijan State Medical Institute and the NCJCS “Semey Medical University”, a round table was held on the topic: “Measles. The relevance of the problem” in online mode. The seminar was organized by the Department of Infectious Diseases of the Andijan State Medical Institute (Head of the Department, Associate Professor, PhD Mirzakarimova D.B.) and the Department of Infectious Diseases, Dermatovenerology and Immunology of the National Academy of Sciences “Semey Medical University” (Head of the Department, Professor, MD Shaimardanov N.K.). The speakers of the round table were resident infectious disease specialists of the 1st year of study Madrikov K., Saparzhan A., Baituganova M. (Semey), Kortaeva A., Baltabai D (Pavlodar). The event was attended by interns of GP 602 and 606 of the NCJCS “SMU” group, undergraduates, bachelors, teaching staff of the Department of Infectious Diseases of the Andijan Medical Institute and infectious diseases doctors of the Andijan Regional Infectious Diseases Hospital. During this event, the speakers highlighted epidemiology, clinic, diagnosis, and treatment of measles at the outpatient and inpatient levels. Once again, emphasis was placed on the fact that measles is a highly contagious infection that can lead to severe complications and death. The speakers noted that the specific prevention of measles is the vaccine against measles, mumps, rubella (CPC). According to the national vaccination calendar of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the CCP vaccine is administered to children aged 12-15 months and 6 years. During the round table, the participants discussed topical issues of measles treatment.
