April 27, 2024 Department of Biochemistry and Chemical Disciplines named after Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Tapbergenov S.O. took part online in the Annual International Subject Student Olympiad, organized by the School of General Medicine-1 and the School of Pharmacy of the Kazakh National Medical University. The purpose of the annual international subject student Olympiad is to popularize knowledge in the field of medicine, as well as to increase students’ interest in educational activities in basic disciplines, create opportunities for students to demonstrate scientific and creative potential and strengthen international ties.

Students from medical universities in Kazakhstan, Russia, Uzbekistan and the Republic of Karakalpakstan took part in the Olympiad. From NJSC “Semey Medical University”, 3 teams from the following 2nd year students of the Russian, Kazakh and English departments of the specialty “Medicine” took part in the section “Biological Chemistry”: Mekenbaev Daniyar – 2325, Rysbek Balnur – 2325, Mogileva Ekaterina – 2326 Kanat Medet – 2325, Amanulla Isa – 2104, Oralbekova Dina – 2104, Meiran Sabina – 2104, Berikova Aidana – 2105, Zhumabaeva Malika – 2228, Karibzhanova Ayazhan – 2228, Oralbekova Aruzhan – 2228, Tuleubaev Daniyar – 2228. In the section “Management and economics of pharma” ations” From our university, 2 teams took part from the following 4th year students of the specialty “Pharmacy”: Bolatov Alisher – 402, Kanagatova Zhansaya – 402, Toktasynova Moldir – 402, Bakytzharova Nurdan-402, Amantaeva Nadira -402, Zhumatayeva Tomiris -401, Zhangaulova Aya – 401, Erlanuly Erzhan – 401, Iskakova Zukhra – 401, Moldabaeva Aisha – 401. The preparation of students was supervised by the head. department, candidate of biological sciences, Olzhayeva R.R., senior teacher Ablenova A.T., teachers Sydykova K.T., Murtazina D.D., as well as members of the jury were associate professor of the department Dinzhumanova R.T. and PhD Sovetov B.S.

The Olympiad consisted of 4 rounds: a video competition on the topic “Biochemistry in the modern world”, online testing on the Google form platform, solving situational problems orally and a captain competition. The teams of the Russian and Kazakh branches were awarded III degree diplomas and all participants received certificates for active participation.
