On April 29-30, an intra-university subject Olympiad on the topic “Infectious diseases accompanied by rash syndromes in children” was held at the Department of Pediatric Infectious Diseases of the NCJSC “SMU”. The following teams took part in the Olympiad: “Invictus” 4102 GM, “Sharp Scalpels” 4101 GM, “L’AVICENNA” 4127 GM and “Rash detectives” 430 and 428 GM groups. The purpose of the Olympiad is to develop and consolidate students’ knowledge on the subject of children’s infectious diseases, the development of intellectual, creative and organizational abilities. The Olympiad consisted of II stages. At the first stage, the teams were tested and demonstrated dressing and removing PPE. At the II stage, the teams prepared a “Greeting” introduction to the group, showed their knowledge of nosologies in the form of solving situational tasks. And each team was given a homework assignment to prepare a video about the commitment to vaccination in the prevention of infectious diseases. The creativity and knowledge of the teams were evaluated by the jury: deputy deans of the School of Medicine Aigul Bakhtybekovna, Aigul Shaimuratovna, infectious diseases doctors of the highest category – head of the airborne department Karzhaubayeva S. R. and assistants of the department Ph.D. Mansurova A. A., m.m.n.Kumarbekova A.K. In the nomination “Best greeting”, the team “Invictus”, “Zhuzden juirik, mynnan tulpar” won the team “Rash detectives”, in the homework “Creative group” the team “L’AVICENNA”, the captain of the team “Sharp scalpels” received the nomination “Best captain”. According to the results of the Olympiad, which lasted 2 days, the first place with 270 points was shared by 4102 Invictus groups, 430 and 428 Rash detectives groups. The second prize was taken by 4127 “L’AVICENNA” groups. The team of group 4101 “Sharp scalpels” took third place.
