On May 10, 2024 educational hour “HEROES of Kazakhstan in the Great Patriotic War” was held in the 2427 group of the specialty “General Medicine”. The curator of the group, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Physiological Disciplines named after Honored Scientist of the Republic of Kazakhstan T.A. Nazarova Tokesheva G.M., acquainted the students of the group with the contribution of Kazakhstan to achieving the victory of the USSR in World War II. 1 million 200 thousand Kazakhstanis joined the ranks of the fighting army. One in five Kazakhstanis went to the front. 497 Kazakhstanis were awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union, 110 Kazakhstanis were awarded Orders of Glory of three degrees.

   A separate issue was considered the exploits of Kazakhstanis on the battlefields: the exploits of heroes of the Soviet Union Talgat Bigeldinov, Manshuk Mametova, Aliya Moldagulova, Bauyrzhan Momyshuly, Sultan Baymagambetov, national heroes Sagadat Nurmagambetov, Rahimzhan Koshkarbayev and many other sons and daughters of Kazakhstan, who remain unique examples of courage, steadfastness, and the unyielding spirit of our people.
