At the Department of Molecular Biology and Medical Genetics named after Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan T.K. Raissov, the tutor of the 1231 group of the EP «Pediatrics», Ibraeva G.R., together with students, held a curatorial meeting on the topic “Heroes of the front line”. The curatorial meeting was held on the occasion of the 100-th anniversary of Rakymzhan Koshkarbayev, Hero of the Republic of Kazakhstan, who hoisted the flag on the Reichstag in Berlin (Germany) and Hero of the Soviet Union, National Hero, First Minister of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Army General Sagadat Nurmagambetov.

During the curatorial meeting, information was given about the biographies of Rakhymzhan Koshkarbayev and Sagadat Nurmagambetov, their bravery and awards on the front line, their work after the war, their honest deeds for the sake of our country. The students of the group were especially surprised by the bravery and brave deeds of our heroes during the war. Lieutenant Rakymzhan Koshkarbayev and soldier Grigory Bulatov were the first to reach the Reichstag in Berlin on April 30, 1945 and raised the flag, and Sagadat Nurmaganbetov showed great courage in battle at the Magnushevsky bridgehead in Poland on January 17, 1945.

The students of the curatorial group highly appreciated the selfless work of the participants of the Great Patriotic War, they understand the importance of their feat for the younger generation so that they would not be forgotten in the future.
